Day 1
Depart London on your IBERIA and LAN overnight flights to Lima.

Day 2: Lima
Upon arrival in Lima you will be met and taken to your hotel for a stay of two nights. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour of Lima. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Lima
Visit to the famous Gold Museum where you will be able to see a unique and amazing collection of gold objects from many pre-Hispanic Andean civilisations as well as a valuable collection of pre-Inca textiles. Return to your hotel and overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 4: Lima – Chiclayo
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiclayo where upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel.

Then visit the impressive Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipán in the nearby town of Lambayeque. After lunch continue with a visit to the Pyramids of Túcume in an area surrounded by rich agricultural fields. The sacred mountain, known as La Rayaor Purgatorio stands in its midst. Because of its size and the quality of its monuments, the Pyramids of Túcume are one of the most important centre in the region. The 26 buildings are made of adobe and were intended for different activities. The construction of these buildings started in the late 10th century and lasted for centuries. Later afternoon transfer to your hotel for overnight. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5: Chiclayo – Chachapoyas
Morning departure to Chillo (approximately 10 hours) passing different landscapes with rivers and forest. Overnight in Chillo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: Chachapoyas
After breakfast depart to Revash (approximately 2 hours) to visit the colourful funerary buildings from the Chacha culture (12th century). In these 3-floor buildings necklaces, ceramics and bones were discovered and thought to be offering to the gods during burials. Continue to Leymebamba (approximately 1 hour) to visit an amazing collection of pre-Inca mummies. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7: Kuelap
Depart for your full day trip to visit the massive 7th century citadel of Kuelap whose imposing stone walls line the summit of a mountain crest. Return to your hotel in the evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8: Macro
In the morning trek to Macro, built in the 12th century and constructed from stones and mud. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9: Chachapoyas – Trujillo
After breakfast depart on your journey back to Trujillo (approximately 10 hours) where upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel for overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 10: Trujillo
Morning visit to the Huaca del Sol y de la Luna (Pyramid of the Sun and of the Moon). The Huaca del Sol, a 20 metres high pyramid was, according to tradition, built in only three days, using 250,000 people and 70 million blocks of adobes. The Huaca de la Luna located just in front, is smaller and you can still see in some of its adobe walls paintings depicting the Ai-Apaek God. Continue with a visit to El Brujo, one of the most important archaeological complexes on Peru’s north coast. It was built through a lengthy cultural sequence which began in the pre-Ceramic period, some 5 000 years ago. El Brujo consists of three large buildings: the ancient Huaca Prieta, Huaca El Brujo, belonging to the Mochica Culture, and Huaca de Cao Viejo, which features embossed figures and murals.

Lunch in Huanchaco beach, an ancient Chimú port with its colonial church located at the highest point of the port and famous for its ancient pre Inca 'Caballitos de Totora', reed boats which are still used by local fishermen.

In the afternoon visit Chan Chan, the imperial capital of the Chimu civilisation which was once the largest adobe city in the world and which once housed a population of 50,000 and which has been declared Cultural Patrimony by UNESCO.

Finish with a visit to Huaca Dragon, a temple dedicated to the Rainbow, before returning to your hotel for overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 11: Trujillo - Lima
At leisure until transfer to the airport on time for your flight to Lima where upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel for a stay of one night. (Breakfast)

Day 12 - Lima - London
At leisure until transfer to the airport for your flights back to London via Madrid with LAN and Iberia.

Day 13 - London
Arrive in London.
