Day 1
Depart London on your British Airways overnight flight to
Buenos Aires.
Day 2
Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to the Hotel Mansión
Dandi Royal (Superior) for a three-night stay.
Day 3
Half day tour of this elegant cosmopolitan city visiting the
beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo, the old quarter of San
Telmo and La Boca, the Recoleta area, the bustling banking and
business centre, the Congress and the Historic Government
House. You will hear about the immigrants who came from
Europe and the Politics that swayed emotions, changed lives and
became the theme of stories, music and theatre. (Breakfast)
Day 4
At leisure for optional excursions. Evening tango show
at Esquina Carlos Gardel. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 - Salta
At the agreed time transfer to the airport for your flight to
Salta where upon arrival you will be taken to the Hotel Almeria
(Superior) for a stay of four nights. (Breakfast)
Day 6 -
Cafayate
Full day excursion to Cafayate driving Southwards along the
'Quebrada de las Flechas' passing spectacular scenery of
colourful rock formations. The village of Cafayate is situated
200 kms from Salta, on a high altitude valley surrounded by
rivers, trees and vineyards. (Breakfast)
Day 7
Humahuaca Ravine
Full day excursion to the Humahuaca Ravine visiting the towns
of Tumbaya and Purmamarca (known for its seven colours hill), as
well as the fort of Tilcara. This excursion offers some of the
most attractive landscapes in the Northwest of Argentina with a
spectacular variety of contrasting colours. (Breakfast)
Day 8
At leisure for optional excursions.
Day 9
Puerto Madryn
Transfer to the airport for your flights to Trelew where upon
arrival you will be taken to Puerto Madryn for a stay of three
nights at the Hotel Yene Hue (Tourist/Superior). (Breakfast)
Day 10
Valdés Peninsula
Full day excursion to the wildlife sanctuary of the Valdés
Peninsula, a world of whales and seals and countless species of
birds. (Breakfast)
Day 11
Punta Tombo and Gaimán
Depart in the morning driving across the Patagonian Plateau
to Punta Tombo where you will find the second largest Magellanic
penguin colony in the world (the largest being in Antarctica).
Continue in the afternoon towards the Valley of the Chubut river
and the Welsh colony of Gaimán which dates back from the
beginning of the century. Visit the village's Railway museum, tea
houses and chapels before returning to your hotel in the early
evening. (Breakfast)
Day 12
Buenos Aires
At the agreed time transfer to Trelew airport and fly to
Buenos Aires where upon arrival you will be met and taken to the
Estancia El Ombu de Areco in San Antonio de Areco for a stay of
two nights. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 13
At leisure for activities at the Estancia (Ranch).
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 14
Transfer to Buenos Aires airport for your British Airways
flight to London. (Breakfast)
Day 15
Arrive in London.
