Daily Departures

Day 1
Depart London on your Iberia flights via Madrid to Buenos Aires.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you will be met and taken to the Hotel Tanguero (Tourist/Superior) for a stay of two nights.

Day 3
Half day tour of this elegant cosmopolitan city visiting the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo, the old quarter of San Telmo, the bustling banking and business centre, the Congress and the historic Government House. You will hear about the immigrants who came from Europe and the politics that swayed emotions, changed lives and became the theme of stories, music and theatre. (Breakfast)

Day 4
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Mendoza and upon arrival transfer to the Hotel Huentala (Superior) for a stay of two nights. Rest of the day at leisure. (Breakfast)

Day 5
Located at the foot of the Andes, Mendoza is known as the home of Argentine wine. Enjoy a half day tour of one of the surrounding vineyards. (Breakfast)

Day 6
Transfer to the bus station and board a regular coach that will take you on a breathtaking trip across the Andes to Santiago. Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel Galerias (Tourist/Superior) for a stay of two nights. (Breakfast)

Day 7
At leisure in Santiago for optional excursions.(Breakfast)

Day 8
At the agreed time transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Montt (in the Lake District) and from there transfer to the Hotel Puelche (Tourist/Boutique) in Puerto Varas, on the shores of Chile's largest lake, Llanquihue, for a stay of two nights. (Breakfast)

Day 9
At leisure for walks and optional excursions. (Breakfast)

Day 10
Morning departure for your Lake Todos Los Santos crossing to Peulla (weather permitting you will have impressive views of the Osorno volcano) for a stay of one night at the Hotel Natura Patagonia (Tourist). At leisure for walks in the surrounding area. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 11
Continue your crossing by bus and launch across the Continental Divide through beautiful Andean countryside and across azure lakes before arriving in Bariloche for a stay of two nights at the Hotel Cacique Inacayal (Superior). (Breakfast)

Day 12
At leisure for optional excursions.

Day 13
At leisure until transfer to the airport and fly to El Calafate for a stay of three nights at the Hotel La Cantera (Tourist/Superior). (Breakfast)

(Please note that until the end of January flights will not be operating to/from Bariloche and that intead a land transfer will be provided to Neuquen on time for your flight to El Calafate. Please note that the bus journey currently takes 6 hours and departs at 0300AM. Flights are currently scheduled to return to normal from 1 February)

Day 14
Full day excursion to Los Glaciares National Park.  Here you will find one of the most outstanding landscapes in Patagonia with the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier.  The glacier flows in the Southern arm of Lago Argentino, being one of the few advancing glaciers in the world.  It can be appreciated from a very short distance, facing the Canal de Los Tempanos.  The Perito Moreno Glacier has been declared one of the most important Natural Monuments in the world by UNESCO. (Breakfast)

Day 15
Full day excursion to Lago Argentino.  Depart from your hotel for a 50 Kms drive to Punta Bandera to board a catamaran and cruise the Southern arm of Lago Argentino among icebergs.  After approaching the Upsala Glacier, disembark at Onelli Bay (weather permitting) for a pleasant walk through woods of Lengas (Southern Beech trees) to the Spegazzini Lake where smaller glaciers plunge.  Return to El Calafate in the late afternoon. (Breakfast)

Day 16
At leisure until transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires for your overnight stay at the Hotel Tanguero. (Breakfast)

Day 17
At leisure before transferring to the airport for your overnight flights to London via Madrid with Iberia. (Breakfast)

Day 18
Arrive in London.

Above tour can be amended according to your requirements including adding nights in the Argentine Lake District (Bariloche) or in Mendoza.

Low Season: for departures between 1 January and 30 June 2012

Please note that minimun nights might be required during the wine harvest (24-28 February) and over Easter (6-10 April) in Mendoza and that prices for these periods are on request.
